Mahavikas Aghad’s form sharing likely to get approval today
Mahavikas Aghadi is discussing the issue regarding seat allocation for the Maharashtra assembly elections. Sources said talks between the parties in the alliance (Congress, NCP ‘Sharad faction’ and Shiv Sena ‘Uddhav faction’) are moving in the right direction. Our goal is to resolve this issue on Tuesday. Afterwards, all parties in the alliance will hold a joint press conference. The seat allocation formula will be announced here.
In Maharashtra, sources said, the Congress could contest 110-115 seats, Sharad Pawar’s party 75-80 seats and Uddhav’s Shiv Sena can get 90 to 95 seats. Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat met Sharad Pawar to discuss the seat-sharing issue. There are reports of a deadlock between the Congress and the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) over the seat-sharing issue. Thorat, however, said there was nothing controversial about Maha Vikas Aghadi. Discussions about seats are ongoing.
