Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP chief Ajit Pawar got emotional while addressing a rally after filing his nomination from the Baramati Assembly seat on Monday. He accused his uncle Sharad Pawar, a patron of the Nationalist Congress Party (now divided into Sharad and Ajit factions), of creating divisions in the family. Ajit Pawar said Sharad Pawar has also fielded a candidate against him in Baramati.

Ajit Pawar said: “First I made a mistake (fielding his wife Sunetra against Supriya Sule in the Lok Sabha elections) but I have accepted that mistake as well. But now It seems others are making mistakes too. My family and I had earlier agreed to submit the form in Baramati but that didn’t happen despite the challenges we faced and my mother was very supportive. They (Sharad faction) were advised not to field their candidate against Ajit Pawar. However, I was told that Saheb (Sharad Pawar) instructed someone to file a nomination against me.

Saheb creates division within family: Ajit Pawar

Ajit Pawar got emotional during his speech but then restrained himself and said, “Saheb has created divisions within the family. I just want to say that politics should not be reduced to such a low level because a family needs It takes generations to unite, but it doesn’t take a moment for a family to fall apart. AAP voters were agitated last time (in Lok Sabha elections). Don’t get emotional this time. Because problems cannot be solved by emotions. Problems must be solved through development. The people of Baramati elected Tai (Supriya Sule) in the Lok Sabha, so now Dada should be elected as MLA. Let us tell you that the NCP (SP) has fielded Yugendra Pawar against Ajit Pawar from Baramati. Yogendra Pawar’s grandfather will succeed Sharad Pawar.

I am sure people of Baramati will support me: Ajit

Yogendra is the son of Ajit Pawar’s younger brother Srinivas Pawar. He is the treasurer of Vidya Pratisthan, an educational institution founded by Sharad Pawar, and the director of Baramati Taluka Kustigir Parishad. He had led the Sharad NCP’s Swabhiman Yatra from Baramati in September last year and campaigned for his aunt and Sharad Pawar in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. Daughter Supriya Sule ran for election. NCP chief Ajit Pawar has expressed confidence of winning the Baramati elections against his nephew Yogendra Pawar and said he will not stop any of the ongoing schemes of the current government as it is all for interests of the people.

He said: ‘Mahayuti will return to power. We all know that this government will return to power on the afternoon of November 23rd. Because we have to fulfill our promises to farmers. The Girls Sisters program will last five years. If they (the opposition) come to power, they will shut it down. We are working people, but they are not. I don’t want to talk about democracy, everyone has the right to participate in elections. I am sure the people of Baramati will vote for me in large numbers. Today at the road show, I saw how enthusiastic and enthusiastic people were towards me. I would like to ask everyone to maintain this enthusiasm until voting day.
