Mahakumbh: A big gift for devotees, 14 new routes to Prayagraj

Government makes major announcements

The historic Kumbh Mela will be held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The show will start on January 13 and run until February 26, 2025. Preparations are being made at all levels for this exhibition. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has also made major preparations for Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025 and has taken many important decisions regarding passenger safety.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation said that devotees who come to the Mahakum Temple will get a big gift. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said there will also be 14 new routes to Prayagraj. The Airports Authority of India has approved the new route. In addition, negotiations are ongoing on a number of other routes.

What preparations are being made?

Before Mahakumbh begins, flight services are available from many other cities. Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said that a new terminal is also under construction. He also said that the relevant work will be completed by the end of this month. The new terminal at Prayagraj will be inaugurated by January 13. The old terminal is being developed in a new way. In addition, the passenger capacity of Prayagraj Airport is also increasing.

PM Modi gives away gifts worth crores of rupees

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also arrived in Prayagraj today to take stock of the preparations for Mahakumbh on December 13. During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will also gift schemes worth Rs 70 crore. He will also perform Kalash puja. Among the projects the Prime Minister will launch for Mahakumbh 2025, he will also provide connectivity services at Prayagraj. These include various rail and road projects such as 10 new bridge or flyover roads, permanent ghats and riverside roads.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated that Prime Minister Modi will also launch projects to intercept, regulate, divert and treat small drainage ditches leading to the Ganges to ensure that untreated water is not discharged into the Ganges. During this period, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate major temple corridors including Bhardwaj Ashram Corridor, Shringverpur Dham Corridor, Akshayvat Corridor, Hanuman Temple Corridor.
