Six policemen have been suspended after a video of them gambling in Madhya Pradesh’s Tikamgarh district went viral on social media. The policemen accused of gambling are Manoj Ahirwar, Ritesh Mishra, Suraj Rajput, Bhuvneshwar Agnihotri, Anil Pachauri and Salman Khan. The case has been handed over to Deputy Commissioner of Police Sitaram Satya for investigation.

Inspector General of Police Rohit Kashwani said six police personnel posted at different police stations were suspended after the video came to light on Sunday evening. Among them, action was taken against police personnel Manoj Ahirwar, Ritesh Mishra and Suraj Rajput of Kotwali police station in the district, Bhuvaneshwar Agnihotri and Anil Pachauri of Dehat police station and Salman Khan posted at Digora police station.

The SP said the investigation into the case has been handed over to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sitaram Satya. They are investigating the time and location of the shooting of the video. Were there other police officers present at the scene at the time? He said such an act has damaged the reputation of the police department. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.

Let us tell you that in August this year, a video of two policemen gambling and smoking inside the Nagpur police post went viral. Following this, both the policemen were suspended. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Niketan Kadam suspended Manoj Ghadge and Bhushan Sakde from the Kalamana police post on Old Kamptee Road.

A police officer said that in the viral video, two policemen were seen gambling inside the post. One of them was also smoking in his uniform. However, it is not clear who made the video of the two policemen? After the video went viral, the police department began monitoring all police stations.
