A horrific incident of rape and murder of an innocent girl took place in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh. Surprisingly, the incident was committed by the cruel father of the victim. The body of the victim was fished out from a well on Saturday. His hands and legs were tied. The police solved the murder case within 24 hours and arrested the suspect. He is being interrogated in police custody.
An eight-year-old girl went missing three days ago. She was a resident of a village in Chahoda police station area, about 75 km from the district headquarters. Later, her body was found and her family reported the case to the police. The police reached the spot, took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem, where doctors confirmed it was murder before rape. After this, a sensational revelation came out during the police investigation.
Inspector General of Police Machar Singh Mandela said there was a suspicion that the victim’s father might be involved as he had not shown interest in searching and investigating his daughter. The girl was last seen with her father before she went missing. Police detained her father on Sunday morning after the last rites of the girl. Thereafter, he spoke only when he was under intense questioning in the police lock-up.
The accused’s father said that after killing the girl, he tied her hands and feet with stones and threw her into a well. Chajoda Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDOP) Divya Rajawat said that in the preliminary post-mortem report, Dr. Ankit Upadhyay of the local government hospital expressed suspicion that the girl had been raped before being murdered. It is understood that the accused hated his daughter.
