The committee also said in the report that from 2016-2017 to 2021-22, farmers’ income increased by 57.6%, but farmers’ expenditure increased by 67.4%, and the number of loan recipients in rural areas increased from 47.4% to 52%. yes.

The committee made many suggestions that are beneficial to farmers, including formulating debt relief policies for farmers, consulting farmers before formulating agricultural product import and export policies, improving crop insurance plans, and protecting farmers’ seed rights.
