Love attack in Kanpur: 5 wives were killed in 2 months. What kind of story is this?

Cases of husbands murdering their wives have increased in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. A software engineer living in Saket Nagar in the district poisoned his wife to death. Bharat Lal Pandey, father of the deceased, said he married his daughter with great ceremony a year and a half ago. But after the marriage, the parents-in-law began to beat their daughter for dowry. On Tuesday, before her death, her daughter sent her brother a message describing her pain. She also demanded severe punishment for her husband and in-laws.

After receiving a complaint from the father of the deceased, the police registered a case against the parents-in-law and launched an investigation. ADCP Manoj Pandey said that the matter is being investigated seriously. But in the past two months, five such incidents have taken place in Kanpur, in which husbands killed their wives over minor disputes.

Murders of married women on the rise

On August 9, a man named Suresh murdered his wife Sunita out of suspicion.

Sandeep strangled his wife Roshni to death over a meat dispute in Shivrajpur on September 9.

On October 4, in the West Samau region, Aman killed his wife who lived in her natal home with a knife after a love marriage.

On October 7, coal trader Harishankar stoned his wife Pooja and his 12-year-old son to death because he didn’t like her talking on her mobile phone.

In the latest incident, a young man named Uday killed his wife Lucky. What is worrying is that the murderous husbands include not only ordinary people, but also businessmen, engineers and workers.
