Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi
The Indian Navy will showcase its prowess on the occasion of Navy Day on December 4 at a Blue Flag beach off the Puri coast of Odisha. There will be wonderful performances during this period. Meanwhile, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi said that the Navy has 65 domestically produced ships of various shapes and sizes under construction. 63 of them were built at the Navy’s indigenous shipyards, whether DPSU, PSU or private shipyards.
“As far as the air domain is concerned, we still have some work to do,” he said. We are discussing maritime development with the agency as well as HAL and other private sectors. We will have fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft entering the Navy in the future. He said that the procurement of 26 Rafale M aircraft has entered a very advanced stage.
Naval strength continues to increase
Hopefully this will happen in the coming months. In terms of the underground area, we just got government approval to build two nuclear-powered attack submarines, the SSN. This also demonstrates the government’s confidence in our country’s ability to design and build nuclear-powered submarines. “I am pleased to announce that we are one of six countries in the world capable of designing, building and operating aircraft carriers and ballistic missile submarines,” said the Chief of Naval Staff. He said that the strength of the Indian Navy continues to increase.
