The doctors’ strike over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata is still continuing. Despite the Supreme Court’s ultimatum to end the strike and return to work, the doctors of the hospital have not budged. The court’s ultimatum to end the strike is expiring at 5 pm today. In such a situation, the doctors are firm on their decision of not returning to work until their five demands are met.
The doctors of RG Kar Hospital have put forward their five demands. They say that until these five demands are not met, they will continue the strike. These five demands also include the resignation of Bengal’s Health Secretary and Kolkata Police Chief.
