A month after the Kolkata rape-murder case came to light, the Supreme Court is hearing the case today. The case is being heard by a bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra. During the hearing of the case, the Chief Justice has asked how far is the principal’s house from the college.
On Sunday, thousands of people protested in Kolkata demanding justice. People from all walks of life participated in it. Alumni of many educational institutions, clay modellers, rickshaw pullers and junior doctors took to the streets of Kolkata in different ways and protested against the rape and murder of a lady doctor that happened a month ago.
