Two girls studying in Shishu Varga of Adarsh ​​Vidyalaya located in Thane’s Badlapur were molested by the cleaning contractor’s employee. Angry people were protesting in front of the school on Tuesday. The number of people protesting kept increasing and a crowd of angry people came out with banners and posters in the entire city. After this, people started gheraoing the railway station.

The protesters put forward these demands

The angry crowd protesting on this issue has put forward some important demands. The protesters have especially demanded to set up a fast-track court to expedite the legal proceedings and give severe punishment or death penalty to the accused. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the case will be heard in the fast-track court and the accused will be given strict punishment.

3 policemen suspended

The protesters alleged that the police team had delayed action and demanded that the officers who did so be suspended. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis accepted the protesters’ demand and directed the Police Commissioner to suspend the officers who responded late – Senior Police Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector and Head Constable. CM Eknath Shinde also ordered an inquiry into the matter and said that the policemen have been suspended.

Action taken against school principal, class teacher and police inspector

In this case, the school management has suspended the principal and the class teacher. Also, action was taken against Police Inspector Shubhada Shitole in this case and she was transferred. The parents had accused her of taking lax attitude in taking action. A case has been registered in this case under the POCSO Act. Also, it has been said that the case will be heard in a fast track court.

Police appealed to people to maintain peace

DCP Sudhakar Pathare has appealed to the citizens for cooperation. He said that after the case was registered, the accused was arrested within three and a half hours. The court has also sent him to police custody. DCP Pathare has appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the police in the investigation, so that the bottom of this serious matter can be reached and justice can be ensured.

The DCP has clarified that if anyone organises a city bandh or agitation, which may hinder the investigation, strict action will be taken against them as well. The police will not show any leniency in this matter and is working with full diligence to punish the culprits.

Protesters stopped local trains

The protesters have blocked the railway tracks and stopped the trains in protest. Due to this, the common people are facing serious problems. Police Commissioner Sanjay Jadhav appealed that the railway is the lifeline of Mumbai and hence it should not be stopped, and that this will increase the problems of the common people.
