7 people died and 3 were injured due to lightning in Chhattisgarh. Regarding this incident, the police said that many people died due to lightning in Balodabazar Bhatapara district.

An official of the district administration said that the incident took place in Mohtara village on Sunday evening when the people who lost their lives in the accident were working in a field. According to initial information, these people had gathered on the banks of a pond near their field amid heavy rain and during this time lightning struck.

The deceased have been identified as Mukesh (20), Tankar Sahu (30), Santosh Sahu (40), Thaneshwar Sahu (18), Pokhraj Vishwakarma (38), Dev Das (22) and Vijay Sahu (23). Three injured people have been admitted to hospital, the official said.

Two people had also died in Dantewada two days ago

Let us tell you that just two days ago, two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were killed when lightning struck an anti-Naxal training center of the paramilitary force in Dantewada district.

An official had said that the incident took place around 3 pm when a training session was going on in the Barsoor police station area of ​​the district. He said that constables Mahendra Kumar and S Sahuat Alam of the 111th battalion of CRPF were seriously injured due to lightning.

The officer said that both of them were taken to Dantewada hospital in an ambulance and after examination, the doctors declared them dead. He said that Kumar was a resident of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, while Alam was a resident of Sahibganj in Jharkhand. He said that their families have been informed about the incident.
