The Yogi government has started preparations for the grand and spectacular 4-day Deepotsav to be held in Ayodhya from 28 to 31 October. Many cultural programs and shows will be organized every day during Deepotsav. More than 100 artists will participate. Excellent lighting, 45-minute laser show and fireworks display will be the main attractions of this festival to be held in Ayodhya.

Deepotsav will also feature 7 colourful, internationally inspired tableaux. More than 25 lakh lamps will illuminate various ghats including Ram Ki Paidi and Naya Ghat. The unique lighting arrangement will fill Ayodhya Dham with a mystical aura reminiscent of Saket Dham.

Let us tell you that this year the first celebration is being held after the inauguration of Ram Mandir, this tradition started in 2017 when Saryu Ghat was decorated with record-breaking lamps.

This year, Deepotsav in Ayodhya will feature spectacular modern lighting and artworks that will give the city a unique look. The festival will have high-tech and dynamic color-changing LED panels and multimedia projections that will decorate not only the main venues but also various locations across Ayodhya.

Welcome gates designed with theme-based lighted pillars will welcome visitors at Ram Ki Paidi and Naya Ghat. The main routes including Bhakti Path will be illuminated with attractive lighting and floral decorations. Apart from this, Gonda Bridge on the route from Ayodhya to Gonda and Basti Bridge on the route from Ayodhya to Basti will also be decorated attractively, which will present a captivating view to everyone.

The entire Ayodhya Dham including all the major temples will be decorated with special decorations, in which lighting will be the main attraction. Attractive signage boards will be installed at more than 500 important places in the city. Also, various cultural programs will be organized every day during the Deepotsav festival. Cultural programs will be organized in several shifts every day, in which the main program will last for 45 minutes. More than 100 artists will perform at Ram Ki Paadi and other major sites.

The main event will also feature laser shows, multimedia projections and choreographed fireworks displays. The main attraction will be the eco-friendly green aerial fireworks show that will light up the Ayodhya sky for over 10 minutes, filling it with vibrant colours and lights.

A grand Shobha Yatra will be the main attraction, which will include seven large mechanized tableaux, including the iconic ‘Ram Rath’. These tableaux, depicting various episodes from the life of Lord Shri Ram, will be inspired by the famous festivals of Oruro (Bolivia), Basel (Switzerland), Salvador (Brazil), Barranquilla (Colombia), Dusseldorf (Germany) and the Grenadines.

In a unique blend of tradition and technology, Deepotsav will also introduce a virtual reality platform that offers an immersive experience of the holy sites of Ayodhya. Pilgrims and visitors will be able to virtually tour Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi Temple, Nageshwar Nath Temple, Ram Ki Paidi and many other important places.
