SP chief Akhilesh Yadav started attacking UP STF after he encountered Mangesh Yadav, accused in the Sultanpur robbery case. Meanwhile, he targeted STF again on Thursday (September 19). Akhilesh sarcastically asked why not send STF to deal with the wolves in Balachi.

Addressing a press conference in Lucknow, Akhilsh Yadav said that to deal with the wolf attacks on villagers and children in Balaichi, the government should set up a special task force or the wolf cases should also be transferred to the same task force. Those who say shoot on sight should at least give this new task to the STF.

Alleging that large-scale deforestation had occurred after the BJP government came to power, the animal problem had worsened, Akhilsh Yadav demanded that the state government provide compensation to the families of the children who died in the wolf attacks.

Clarifying his “Mathadhish and Mafia” statement, Akhilesh said SP and I have never said anything about Sadhu, Mahant or Sanyasi. Only they should know in what form he (CM Yogi) understands the meaning of the word. We just want to say here that he is not the Chief Minister of our Uttar Pradesh, he is the Chief Minister. Put a photo of me and him in front, and you will know who is the Abbot at a glance.

Earlier, Akhilsh Yadav met people of the areas affected by wolf attacks and understood their problems. Financial assistance of Rs 25,000 was also provided to the injured and a cheque of Rs 50,000 was given to the families of the deceased. He raised questions about the whereabouts of billions of rupees spent on wildlife management. If wolves cannot be caught, the STF should be asked to attack them.
