Lebanon was rocked by a series of explosions on Wednesday, killing three people and injuring many more. The explosions occurred in walkie-talkies, wireless communication devices. A Hezbollah commander was holding them when the explosions occurred. Like the pagers, Hezbollah also purchased these devices about five months ago.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah fired missiles in retaliation against Israel. According to reports, Lebanon fired about 20 rockets at the town of Shmona. The IDF said some rockets were intercepted. There is no news of any injuries. Hezbollah took responsibility for the attack, claiming that the target was an Israeli military base.

In fact, on Tuesday, several cities in Lebanon and Syria simultaneously experienced pager explosions. In about an hour, hundreds of pagers exploded. Twelve people were killed and more than 4,000 were injured. After the pager attack, Hezbollah made serious accusations against Israel and said that its intelligence agency Mossad was behind the conspiracy. Hezbollah threatened to retaliate.
