‘Leave Lebanon immediately’, India’s advisory to its citizens amid Iran-Israel tension

After the assassination of Hamas Chief Ismail Haniya and earlier Hezbollah’s top commander in Tehran, Israel has increased the security of its diplomatic missions around the world. The tension between the two countries has increased the concern for other countries as well. Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Lebanon’s capital Beirut has asked Indian citizens to leave the country. Apart from India, many other countries have also advised their citizens not to travel to Lebanon. It has also asked its citizens to leave Lebanon. Australia has advised its citizens not to travel to Lebanon and to leave as soon as possible.

These countries issued advisories
Britain and America are also among the countries issuing advisories. The advisory issued by Australia on July 31 said, ‘We continue to advise that Australians do not travel to Lebanon due to the risk of further deterioration in the volatile security situation. Australians should leave Lebanon immediately, commercial flights are available. The security situation in Lebanon could deteriorate rapidly with little or no notice.
