The investigation into the Shahi Masjid in Sambhar, Uttar Pradesh, has created an uproar. This mosque is said to be a temple. Following this, a case regarding the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer district of Rajasthan was filed in court. Reacting to this, AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi said that it is the legal duty of the courts to implement the 1991 Act and it is regrettable that the law and the Constitution are being flouted to achieve the agenda of Hindutva and Naren Narendra Modi watched silently. .

The hearing on the petition filed in the court in connection with the Ajmer Dargah probe was held on Wednesday. In the petition, the Hindu side described the Ajmer Sharif Dargah as a Hindu temple. Since then, the court has issued notices to all parties and the next hearing will be held on December 20.

What did Owaisi say?

Asaduddin Owaisi has been posting on social media for centuries and people have been following his example and will continue to do so, Allah. Many kings, maharajas, emperors have come and gone but Astan in Khwaja Ajmeri is still inhabited.

The Places of Worship Act 1991 clearly states that the religious identity of any place of worship cannot be changed and these cases will not be heard in court. It is the court’s legal obligation to enforce the 1991 Act. It is sad that laws and the Constitution are being flouted to fulfill the agenda of Hindutva dispensation while Narendra Modi watches silently.

What’s going on?

The petition was filed in the court on behalf of Hindu Sena president Vishnu Gupta. Chairman Vishnu Gupta raised issues related to the Dargah and sought legal intervention. However, the next hearing in the case will now be held on December 20, when arguments and documents from both sides will be submitted. Meanwhile, the national president of the Hindu Sena said that the matter was related to the religious beliefs of the Hindu society. At the final hearing in court, a special book was presented as evidence to substantiate this claim. The book was quoted in court claiming that there was a Hindu temple in the dargah.
