Rahul Gandhi
During the constitutional debate in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the Modi government through Devapal-era tenant Eklaviya. In his speech, Rahul said that just like Eklavya’s thumb was chopped off, now the Modi government is chopping off the thumb of the backward people, Dalits and youth.
During this period, Rahul also tried to corner the central government through industrialist Gautam Adani, leaks, lateral entry and Dharavi.
First tell the story of Eklavya
Rahul Gandhi said that many years ago, a young man made a confession in Delhi. The young man’s name was Eclavia. When Ekaravya went to get education from Brahmandra Nacharya, he did not provide education to Ekaravya because Ekaravya was a Dalit. The Leader of the Opposition further said that we have all heard the story.
Narrating the story further, Rahul said that one day, seeing Ekalavya’s work, Dronacharya asked him for his thumb. Thumbs are his future.
Modi government addresses 5 issues
1. Rahul Gandhi said industrialist Gautam Adani is getting transport from the port to the airport. A monopoly system was being developed but was not explicitly provided for in the constitution. Isn’t the government cutting off young people’s thumbs?
2. Rahul Gandhi said Agniveer Yojana has been implemented. There is no mention of this in the Constitution. In this way, the government is cutting off the thumbs of young people who want to join the military.
3. Rahul said lateral entry is being used now in government jobs. The government is conducting fresh recruitment through direct lateral entry. Because of this, the thumb of the OBC youth was cut off directly.
4. Rahul also raised the Dharavi issue. Land in Dharavi, Mumbai, is being given to industrialists, he said. The government’s decision is tantamount to cutting off a thumb for the residents of Dharavi.
5. Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of document leaks in Parliament. He said 70 documents were leaked during the government’s tenure. This is a direct move to chop off the candidate’s thumb.
Will break through 50% booking barrier
Rahul Gandhi concluded his speech by saying that caste enumeration is necessary and hence we demand caste census. When our government comes, we will count the castes.
Rahul further said that after conducting caste census, we will break the 50% reservation barrier. Just in this house, it would be broken.
During this period, Rahul also tried to contain the Modi government through Manusmati, Veer Savarkar and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He said the Sangh thought Manusmriti was better. Savarkar once said that there should be nothing Indian in the Constitution.
Taking a dig at the ruling party, the Congress leader said that when you talk about protecting the Constitution, you are belittling and insulting Savarkar.
