After the successful treatment, Lalu Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya shared his pictures in her social media post. Sharing Lalu Yadav’s picture in her post, his daughter wrote that now her father is completely fine.
What is Angioplasty?
Angioplasty is a surgical process in which the blood vessels supplying blood to the heart muscles are opened. In medical language these blood vessels are called coronary arteries. Angioplasty is often suggested after problems like heart attack or stroke.
Treatment is necessary within one to one and a half hours
This process is also called percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty. In many cases, doctors also insert coronary artery stents in the blood vessels after angioplasty. This stent works to restore blood circulation in the veins. Normally, the patient’s angioplasty should be done within one to two hours after a heart attack.
According to a report by Healthline, getting angioplasty within an hour can reduce the risk of death. The sooner it is done, the lower the patient’s risk of heart failure. There are three types of angioplasty. Balloon angioplasty, laser angioplasty and atherectomy angioplasty.
