Social media users’ reactions
Several X users expressed their concerns under Kamra’s post and asked the government to intervene.
“This is a matter of grave concern and shows the brazen arrogance shown by corporates towards the plight of Indian consumers. Isn’t it the government’s responsibility to protect ordinary Indians from being scammed? The safety of substandard products and services? Who Night watchman?” one user wrote.
“It’s so frustrating to see so many Indian customers struggling to meet their basic transportation needs, @nitin_gadkari. The challenges they face are real – many are forced to bear the financial burden and even take high-interest loans because of these issues It should be managed by service providers like Ola. When can we expect government agencies to step in and ensure accountability? Our people need support and their voices deserve to be heard,” another user wrote.
One user shared their personal experience at the Solapur Ola factory.
“I am from Solapur and I have seen this first hand… the treatment consumers are getting is the worst I have ever seen especially after they paid full price for Ola power,” the user wrote.
