‘Kumkum Bhagya’ fame Asha Sharma passed away, breathed her last at the age of 88

A sad news is coming from the TV industry. Veteran actress Asha Sharma has passed away at the age of 88. However, the reason behind this has not been revealed yet. Let us tell you that Asha has been a part of the TV and film industry for the last 4 decades. The actress has played the roles of mother and grandmother.

The news of Asha Sharma’s death was confirmed by CINTAA (Cine and TV Artists Association). On X, CINTAA shared a post paying tribute to Asha. They wrote- May her soul rest in peace. However, the reason for Asha’s death is not yet known.

Talking about her film career, Asha was seen in films like ‘Do Dishayein’, ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’, ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’ and ‘Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam’. In 1982, Asha played the role of Mrs. Nivaran Verma in Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s film ‘Do Dishayein’. She made a place in the hearts of the audience with her acting. Prem Chopra was also seen in the lead role in the film along with Nirupa Roy and Aruna Irani.

She was last seen in Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s film ‘Adipurush’. Asha played the character of Shabri. The screen space was very less, but it was enough to leave an impression on the hearts of the audience. On TV, she has been seen in ‘Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’. Asha did about 40 films and many TV shows in her 4-decade career. Asha won the Favorite Elder Award at the Star Parivaar Awards. Fans are paying tribute to Asha.
