The CBI wants to bring Dr Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, to Gujarat for narcoanalysis test. According to sources, the investigating agency wants to conduct the test at the Directorate of Forensic Sciences in Gandhinagar.
The CBI today claimed in court that it had conducted a lie detector test on Sandeep Ghosh during its investigation into the rape and murder case. His statements on some important issues were found to be misleading, reports CFSL. The CBI said that it was necessary to conduct a narcotics analysis test on the accused Sandeep Ghosh to find out the larger conspiracy behind the crime and confirm the accused’s statements to find some clues about the incident.

Besides Sandeep Ghosh, the CBI also wants to conduct a polygraph test on Kolkata Police Inspector Abhijit Mandal. The CBI claimed in court that during the custodial interrogation, the accused Abhijit Mandal was confronted with some records and witnesses and he gave evasive answers to some important questions. In order to prove his claims, it is necessary to conduct a polygraph test on the accused Abhijit Mandal.
During the hearing in the Sealdah court, the CBI filed 2 applications. The first application was to record the consent of the accused Sandeep Ghosh for conducting a narcoanalysis test in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, while the second application sought passing of an order seeking the consent of former OC of Talla police station Abhijit Mandal for conducting a polygraph test in Kolkata.
After the hearing, the court directed the CBI to produce the two arrested accused on September 23. Their consent will be recorded before the magistrate of Sealdah court on the same day. The court will then pass an order.
