The strike in many hospitals, including Delhi’s RML, has ended following an appeal by the Supreme Court but FAIMA has decided to continue the strike for now over the safety of doctors. In West Bengal, the epicentre of the protests, healthcare services in government hospitals were badly affected as the strike by junior doctors continued for the 12th day on Tuesday. Long queues of patients were seen in many hospitals in the state, where senior doctors and assistant professors were treating them in the OPD.
