Jammu, September 21: A brief clash took place between terrorists and security forces at a remote forest area in Kishtwar district of Chenab Valley on Saturday evening, officials said.
Security officials said the army launched a search operation in the Chatru forest following information about the presence of terrorists, which led to the gunfight. They said reinforcements were rushed to the area and further details were awaited.
Meanwhile, a large-scale search operation is also going on in Chasana area of Reasi district where a gun battle took place between terrorists and security forces on Friday night.
