On Friday, two Indian Army soldiers were killed, and two others were injured during a gunfight with terrorists in the Chatru area of Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred as part of an ongoing operation initiated based on intelligence inputs, involving a joint effort by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Initially, four soldiers were reported injured in the firefight, and they were promptly taken to a hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, two of them succumbed to their injuries while receiving medical care, while the other two soldiers are currently stable. The deceased soldiers have been identified as NB Sub Vipan Kumar and Sep Arvind Singh.

The operation in the area continued as of the latest reports, with security forces cordoning off the region to ensure safety and further pursue the terrorists involved. The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Knight Corps expressed condolences and honored the sacrifice of the soldiers, referring to them as “Bravehearts” in a statement on social media.
