British King Charles (73) and his wife Queen Camilla (77) paid a very secret visit to India. He arrived in Karnataka capital Bangalore on a private trip and spent four days at the luxurious ‘Saukya’ wellness center to rejuvenate. He enjoys long walks here and visits a nearby organic farm.
Saukya Health and Wellness Center is located on the outskirts of Bangalore. It covers approximately 30 acres and also has residential facilities. Treatment here is done through Yoga, Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Naturopathy. The health center is run by Dr. Isaac Mathai. He was one of the few Indians invited to attend the coronation of King Charles.
This is a very personal journey…
According to media reports, King Charles III’s private plane landed at HAL Airport on Saturday night. As this was a private visit, there was no formal welcome. However, taking into account safety regulations, the royal couple was taken to Sukia Health Center by road. He left from Bangalore after staying for four days.
King Charles also came to celebrate his 71st birthday
On May 6 last year, King Charles was crowned King of the United Kingdom. This is his first secret visit to India after suffering from cancer. He reached an Ayurvedic health treatment center called ‘Saukya’ on the outskirts of Bangalore. During this period, he made no public appearances. King Charles has also visited this health resort before. In 2019, he celebrated his 71st birthday here.
The royal couple have come a long way
An official said the royal couple attended yoga and meditation classes here, the news agency reported. They’ve been here before. His morning routine includes yoga classes. He had also earlier undergone Ayurvedic and naturopathic treatment here. The royal couple enjoy walking in the area and also visited a nearby organic farm.
King Charles is a supporter of Ayurveda
King Charles has been a strong supporter of Ayurveda for many years. In April 2018, he attended the launch of the new Ayurveda Center at the Science Museum in London along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Just two days ago, Buckingham Palace issued a statement saying that King Charles III’s treatment was continuing. But starting in 2025, they will be fully active again. Earlier this year, he revealed he had cancer and has since reduced some royal duties.
