Our freedom movement is a part of our rich and glorious history but there have been innumerable selfless, courageous freedom fighters whose contribution has gone unrecognized or ignored.
The story of India’s freedom movement cannot be given a complete form without remembering these forgotten heroes. The celebration of the golden age of India’s independence is incomplete if we do not remember those great sons and brave women of the country, because of whom we are free.
How to convey to the new generation that the supreme sacrifice, immense courage, unparalleled sacrifice and selfless spirit of our martyrs have brought us independence. Sudhir Azad is the simplest and clearest medium of ‘how to reach’.

Losing his father at a young age, being brought up by his elder sister and amidst all the adversities of life, he developed himself with such broad thinking and deep feelings that he had the determination to dedicate everything to the cause of the nation! It’s amazing! Martyr Khudiram Bose is the name of someone who lived a life bigger than centuries at the young age of eighteen years. If there is a face of revolution then it is martyr Khudiram Bose. If there is any philosophy of life for self-sacrifice, then that philosophy of life is that of Shaheed Khudiram Bose. If there is any symbol of love for the nation, that symbol is Shaheed Khudiram Bose. Martyr Khudiram Bose is both a path and a patheya. His personality and work became a way of life for the freedom movement, especially for the revolutionaries.
Sudhir Azad writes in the preface of the book that ‘I wanted to bring the personality and work of the great heroes of independence in the minds of the children of younger class, with this purpose the idea of a play came to my mind. Since I had to get a play done for small children, Shaheed Khudiram Bose emerged in my mind and I started writing a play on him. With time, I realized that it would be even better if I introduce young children to Shaheed Khudiram Bose through a one-act play instead of a play. A personality as huge as the Himalayas, just thinking about whom fills one’s heart with emotion and the head becomes high with pride and pride. Now I wanted to convey the vast life of martyr Khudiram Bose’s short life in the minds of my students.
After the hanging of Khudiram Bose, the fear of the British Empire had ended. For hundreds of revolutionaries like Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad, Ashfaq Ullah Khan, Ramprasad Bismil, he was synonymous with unshakable faith and unbeatable commitment.
Khudiram Bose was tried in the Muzaffarpur Magistrate’s Court for the crime of throwing a bomb on the carriage of British Judge Kingsford and martyr Khudiram Bose was sentenced to death. In terms of the scope and structure of the one-act play, District Magistrate Woodman has been portrayed as a lawyer. With its limited style and short canvas, this play, which is full of all the elements of a one-act play, has within itself effective and ideal possibilities for staging. The vigor and flow of the language of the one-act play is unmatched. The language is capable of conveying the thoughts and feelings of the characters with complete success.

They have adapted their language according to the communication situation. You should also impress one more thing in your mind that the British Empire should remember that India will not remain under its control for long. Right now we are here, there will be others who will come after us, your hanging plates will be less but those who will die for Mother India will not be less.”
