Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s convoy met with an accident in Vamanapuram, Thiruvananthapuram. In an accident on Monday night, five vehicles, including the official car of Kerala CM Vijayan, collided with each other. His car suffered no major damage, while all vehicles sustained significant damage.
Chief Minister Vijayan is returning to Thiruvananthapuram from Kottayam. The accident occurred at Vamanapuram Park Junction around 5.45 pm. The accident occurred in the Chief Minister’s security convoy when a motorcycle driver jumped in front of the Chief Minister’s vehicle and turned towards Attingal from MC Road.

The driver had to suddenly apply the brakes
The driver of the chief minister’s convoy had to brake suddenly, causing the chief minister’s official car, an escort vehicle, vehicles of the Vattapara and Ganjiramkulam police forces and an ambulance to collide with each other. Immediately after the incident, security officials protected the chief minister. Many health workers were seen running towards the chief minister’s vehicle.
No one was injured in the accident
Police said no one was injured in the incident and the chief minister resumed his visit to Thiruvananthapuram, local media reported. Police said no case has been registered in connection with the incident.

The accident happened when the scooter darted in front of the porter.
Police have begun a thorough investigation into the accident to identify any possible errors or omissions. The incident has been brought to the attention of all agencies and safety arrangements are being reviewed. This was a serious incident where a motorcyclist passed in front of a CM convoy without attracting attention. In this accident, the motorcycle driver was not injured and escaped safely.
