He traveled in China for 134 days without any gadget. This experience of Yang Hao will surprise many, because in today’s time, most people find it difficult to spend even a day without a mobile phone.

Travelogue without mobile, internet

Yang Hao, who was born in the 1990s and is pursuing a PhD in a British university. Started my journey from Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi province, in November last year. During this trip he visited 24 provinces and territories.

Yang did this journey without the help of any technology. He neither had a mobile phone nor internet. He saw and experienced different parts of China with the help of maps, the help of local people and his own understanding.

What difficulties did you face?

Yang said that without a mobile phone he had to face many inconveniences. For example, he couldn’t book a hotel, couldn’t look at a map, and couldn’t call a taxi. Most shops did not have card swipe machines, so they had to travel long distances to withdraw cash. To solve these problems he had to talk to strangers and take help from them.

“Come to today’s world by time machine”

Yang said mobile phones are often distracting, so he could focus on reading or writing books during the trip without a phone. Yang plans to publish a book of articles he wrote about his trip and the documentary he made. His experience created a buzz on social media, where people appreciated it and shared their views.

He said that I was seeing myself as a person who had come to today’s world through a time machine, but he did not know how much technology has changed the lives of humans.

Yang said that mobile phones are often distracting, so he was able to focus on reading and writing books during the trip without a phone. He plans to publish a book of articles and a documentary based on his travel experiences.
