Kaushambi: Pickup loaded with Kanwadis collides with parked container, three killed, 17 injured

This morning, a pickup vehicle loaded with Kanwadis collided with a parked container in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. In this accident, three Kanwariyas including a woman died on the spot. Whereas, more than a dozen people were injured. In this, the condition of 6 Kanwariyas is said to be critical.

As soon as information about the incident was received, the police force reached the spot. All the injured were admitted to the hospital. DM, SP and other officials also reached the spot and took stock of the situation. At present, the police have taken possession of all three bodies and sent them for post-mortem. As soon as information about the accident came, there was chaos among the family members.

The incident took place on Gulmipur National Highway 2 of Saini Kotwali area. This tragic accident happened at around 6 in the morning. All the people are residents of Balrampur district of Chhattisgarh.

According to the information received, about 21 Kanwariyas had gone to visit Vrindavan in a pickup vehicle. Today everyone was returning home from there. As soon as their pickup reached near Ghulamipur National Highway, it collided with the container vehicle parked in front. The accident was so severe that the pickup was blown to pieces.

In this road accident, 58 year old Aarti Devi, 65 year old Munni Pal and 67 year old Feku died on the spot. 17 people were also injured in the accident. Hearing the screams, people nearby ran to the spot. Police reached the spot after receiving information and took all the injured to CHC Sirathu with the help of villagers. From where some patients have been referred to the district hospital.
