There was a stir in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, when the headless body of a young girl was found. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot, took the body in custody and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the case. It is suspected that this incident might have been carried out after rape or gang rape. Then after hiding the identity of the girl, her throat was slit. Along with the police, the forensic team also reached the spot and collected evidence.
During the investigation, the police found many bones and broken teeth of the deceased lying on the spot. DCP South Ravindra Kumar said that the headless body of a woman was found on the Kanpur-Delhi highway in Gujaini police station area on Wednesday morning. Informers were activated to identify the body. Along with this, the crime branch and surveillance team have been engaged for investigation. The CCTV cameras installed nearby are being scanned.
