Shocking truth has come to light in the case of gymnastics coach Vimal Soni who killed Ekta Gupta and buried her body in DM Residential Complex in Kanpur. Rahul, the husband of the deceased, told reporters that on June 24, when Ekta did not return from the gym, we all went to Green Park. From there we took a coach and reached DM’s residence at 11 am. But the staff at DM’s residence told that Vimal was on leave.
According to Ekta’s husband Rahul Gupta, the staff at DM’s residence gave him the phone number of Vimal’s nephew Dhirendra. When Dhirendra got the call, he told Vimal that he had asked for the bag. It means he’s going somewhere. The family of the deceased Ekta also claimed that Vimal’s sister had called the DM hostel staff to seek help. Because, as a gym instructor, Vimal had to meet officials. He also used to provide training to their wives.
Rahul told reporters that when the nephew of the killer Vimal was captured by the police, his mother came to pick him up and release him. He then called for help and when we snatched the phone from him, we saw that the number was from DM’s residence. At this time, the person in front had hung up the phone.
Questioning DM’s silence
Ekta’s husband Rahul said why DM Saheb remained silent during the entire incident? The place where the body was found was not even allowed to drink water without permission, so how did Vimal bury Ekta’s body there? Rahul said the discovery of the body next to the district chief’s compound was a big deal. At least he should ask some questions.
If Rahul’s words are to be believed, a lot of things will become clear if the CCTVs installed around DM’s compound are checked. The police have not said anything yet. CCTV footage was also missing from Green Park (where the gym is located).
Earlier, while talking to ‘Aaj Tak’, Rahul Gupta had questioned the police theory and denied his wife’s love angle. He said a mere conversation between a woman and a man cannot be called an affair. If the police investigated properly, they would state the motive for the murder along with the facts.
Rahul said the police told Vimal that he had dug a pit and buried Ekta’s body in it, but did not answer the question of how a person could dig a pit 5 to 10 feet deep within an hour. No one in the officer corps noticed him, or was there someone else there to help?
