Kangana received death threats, released a video in protest against the film ‘Emergency’

Bollywood actress and MP Kangana Ranaut is receiving death threats. These threats are being given to her ever since the trailer of the film ‘Emergency’ was released on social media. Radical Sikh organizations are behind this.

Kangana received threats

Vicky Thomas Singh, a Christian turned Nihang, released a video in which he openly threatened to kill Kangana Ranaut, saying, “If the film portrays him, the slain Khalistani hero Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, as a terrorist, then remember what happened to Indira Gandhi, whose film you are making? Who were Satwant Singh and Beant Singh? We will offer our heads to Santji, and those who can offer their heads can also chop off their own heads.”

At the same time, many Sikh organizations have also demanded a ban on Kangana’s film Emergency. According to the organizations, an attempt has been made to show the Sikh community in “bad light” in the film. Although the film is to be released on September 6 and so far only its trailer has been released, despite this there is a demand to ban it. SGPC says that Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale has been declared a community martyr and it is wrong to call the entire Sikh community separatists.

The dispute is old

This controversy of Kangana with the Sikh community is an old one. While Kangana’s upcoming film has angered radical Sikh organizations, her statement highlighting two criminal incidents during the farmers’ movement in 2021 also angered the farmer union leaders. In recent interviews, Kangana has also justified the actions taken by former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi against separatists and Khalistanis.

Kangana had said, “They (Khalistanis) were trying to put pressure on the government. We should not forget the woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. They had crushed them under their shoes. They had to crush them like mosquitoes by sacrificing their lives and preventing the destruction of the country. Even decades after her death, people tremble with fear. They will not have a guru like her.”

Kangana has not yet given any statement on the death threats. Nor has any update been given about the film. The release date of Emergency was earlier fixed for June, but due to political work, Kangana postponed it and fixed it for 6 September. The film stars actors like Paresh Rawal, Shreyal Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary along with Kangana.
