Kane Williamson returns to Test match but problems for first time since 2018

New Zealand cricket team captain Kane Williamson has finally returned to Test cricket. He batted in the Test match against England and showed great performance. He also came close to his century but missed the century. This is the first time since 2018 for Kane Williamson. Kane missed the India and New Zealand series entirely.

Kane returns after nearly two months

The Test series between New Zealand and England has begun. Meanwhile, Kane Williamson is back. He has been moving for the past three months or so. Before that, he played his last Test match against Sri Lanka in September this year. After this, New Zealand toured India but could not play a single match of the series as the pressure mounted. Even so, New Zealand thrashed India and won all three games of the series.

Kane Williamson scored an innings of 93 but missed out on a century.

Against England, Kane Williamson scored a valuable innings of 93 runs in the first innings. During this period, he faced 197 balls and hit 10 fours, but he failed to complete his century and missed out by seven runs. This is the first time since 2018 that Kane Williamson has been bowled out for 90 runs. Thereafter, whenever he crossed the 90-mark, he would not go back without completing a century.

No buyer found in IPL auction

Kane Williamson hasn’t even got a Central New Zealand contract yet, which means he’s now the master of his own will and can play when he wants and not when he doesn’t. Despite being away from Test cricket for so long, he has still maintained his position as the third batsman in the ICC Test rankings, which is no less than an achievement. Recently, when the IPL auction was held, his name was shortlisted but no buyer was found. Kane Williamson has played for many IPL teams before this, but this time he may not be seen in the world’s biggest league.
