Kamika Ekadashi 2024: Ekadashi of Shravan Krishna Paksha is called Kamika Ekadashi. Lord Vishnu is worshiped on this day. Worship of Shri Hari in the month of Shravan is very fruitful. By following this a person’s sins are destroyed. Kamika Ekadashi fast has a direct effect on the mind and body. It is believed that if the fast of Ekadashi is observed as per the rituals, a person becomes free from all sorrows. This time the fast of Kamika Ekadashi will be observed on 31st July i.e. tomorrow.
Why is Kamika Ekadashi special?
On Kamika Ekadashi one gets the blessings of both Lord Shiva and Shri Vishnu. Apart from this, auspicious results are also obtained on Thursday of Sawan. Sins are destroyed by fasting on Ekadashi. Bathing, charity and meditation on this day yield manifold results.
method of worship
Worship Lord Krishna early in the morning on the day of Kamika Ekadashi. Offer yellow flowers, Panchamrit and Tulsi Dal. Fruits can also be offered. Meditate on Lord Krishna. Chant their mantras. Offer water to Lord Shiva. Then in the evening, light a mustard oil lamp under the Peepal tree. Eat a completely water diet or eat fruits. If you have to eat food then eat only satvik food. Concentrate your mind on God. Do not get angry.

Rules of Kamika Ekadashi
Kamika Ekadashi fast is observed in two ways. Water fast and fruit or water fast. Water fast should be observed only by a completely healthy person. Common people should observe fruit or water fast. It would be better to consume only water and fruits on this day.
What to do if you cannot keep the fast?
If you are not observing the fast on Kamika Ekadashi, then definitely follow some special rules. Avoid eating grains and heavy food on this day. Spend as much time as possible in worshiping God. By doing devotion with true devotion and full faith, you too can get the blessing of prosperity and good fortune.
