A joint parliamentary committee will be announced today to examine bills relating to one-nation elections. The government will table a proposal in the Lok Sabha today. In particular, the JPC will now have 39 members instead of 31, which means that the JPC will now have 8 more members. The committee will now consist of 27 members from the Lok Sabha and 12 members from the Federal Chamber instead of 21 members from the Lok Sabha and 10 members from the Federal Chamber.
JPC currently has 39 members. After objections from some people, JX decided to increase the number of JX members. The report will be tabled in the last week of the budget session
