In the death case of RAS officer Priyanka Bishnoi, the present eighth judge of Jodhpur issued an important order ordering registration of an FIR against four doctors of Vasundhara Hospital. Priyanka Bishnoi underwent surgery at Vasundhara Hospital in Jodhpur on September 6, after which her health deteriorated. When his condition became critical, he was referred to a private hospital in Ahmedabad, where he died on September 19.
Cases in which doctors were accused of negligence
Anger among Priyanka Bishnoi’s family and society is growing following her death. People accused Vasundhara Hospital of negligence and demanded action. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, district commissioner Gaurav Aggarwal formed a high-level committee to investigate. The committee includes four doctors including Dr Ranjana Desai, former principal of SN Medical College. The committee submitted its inquiry report to the district collector, following which the state government also formed a team to look into the matter.
Police take action following court order
In this case, a petition was filed before the District Magistrate No. 8 of Jodhpur and the court ordered an FIR to be registered against the operator of Vasundhara Hospital and four doctors. Following this, a case was registered against Dr Sanjay Makwana, Dr Renu Makwana, Dr Vinod Shaili, Dr Jitendra and other medical staff of Chaupasni Housing Board police station. Superintendent of Police Fagaluram Bishnoi said that as per the court order, a case has been registered against all the accused under Section 105 of BNS.

Priyanka Bishnoi passed the RAS examination in 2016 and was appointed as Assistant Collector, Jodhpur. With his hard work and honesty, he created a special identity in the state. Priyanka’s husband Vikram Bishnoi is currently working as a tax inspector in Phalodi.
