An encounter is taking place between terrorists and security forces in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. The Army had said that based on specific intelligence input, a joint operation was launched by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF on Saturday in general area Kokernag, Anantnag. During this, there was an encounter with the terrorists, in which two security personnel were injured and they have been evacuated from the area. The operation is still going on.
Cordon and search operation continues
According to the information, news came on Saturday afternoon that there has been an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. After receiving the information, security forces started a cordon and search operation in Ahlan Gadole of Kokernag area of South Kashmir district.
Encounter with Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists
It has come to light that an encounter is taking place in Ahlan of Gagarmandu forest area of Kokernag in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. The joint forces have had an encounter with a group of heavily armed terrorists hiding in the forest. The operation is ongoing.
Earlier there was news of a soldier being injured in this operation, who was taken to 92 Base Army Hospital. After this, news of another soldier getting injured came to light. Later two soldiers were martyred. After coming forward, the terrorists fled into the dense forest area, a large-scale search operation is going on. Security forces have had an encounter with Jaish terrorists. It is believed that the terrorists have entered South Kashmir from Doda.
