Congress has released its third list of candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. The party has announced the names of 19 candidates in its third list. Congress has fielded Irshad AB Ghani from Langate and Sumit Mangotra from Udhampur West.

The party has given tickets to Haji Abdul Rashid Dar from Sopore, Advocate Irfan Hafeez Lone from Wagura-Kreeri, Mool Raj from Ramnagar (SC), Kajal Rajput from Bani, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma from Billawar, Choudhary Lal Singh from Basohli, Thakur Balbir Singh from Jasrota, Rakesh Chaudhary Jat from Hira Nagar, Yashpal Kundal from Ramgarh (SC), Krishan Dev Singh from Samba, Neeraj Kundan from Bishnah (SC), Raman Bhalla from R.S. Pura-Jammu South, T.S. Tony from Bahu, Yogesh Sahni from Jammu East, Balbir Singh from Nagrota, Thakur Manmohan Singh from Jammu West and Moola Ram from Marh (SC).

Congress and NC are fighting elections in alliance

Let us tell you that Congress and National Conference have formed an alliance in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. Out of the 90 seats in the state, Congress will contest on 32 seats while National Conference will field its candidates on 51 seats. Apart from these, there will be friendly fight on five seats, which include Banihal, Doda, Bhaderwah, Nagrota and Sopore.

Voting will be held in three phases

Let us tell you that assembly elections are going to be held in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years. After the abolition of 370, Jammu and Kashmir was made a union territory. After this, elections are going to be held for the first time. Elections will be held in three phases. Voters will cast their votes for the 90 assembly seats of the state on 18 September, 25 September and 1 October. The election results will be declared on 8 October.
