An encounter is going on between terrorists and security forces in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the Indian Army has confirmed that an army officer has been martyred during the encounter. Defense official said that a Captain of 48 National Rifles of the Indian Army has been martyred. Earlier, news had come that a terrorist had been injured in the area, after which the army had launched an anti-terror operation. During this period M-4 rifle and three bags were recovered.

There was an encounter between the army and terrorists in Doda district last month. Five soldiers, including an officer, who was seriously injured in an encounter with terrorists, died in the hospital during treatment. The encounter took place when Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group (SOG) troops of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint search operation in Dhari Gote Urarbagi in Desa forest area, about 55 km from Doda town.
