Three hockey players died simultaneously in Simdega due to lightning. A hockey match was organized in Kolibira area of the district. The players had reached the field. A large crowd of people had gathered there to watch the match.
Players were preparing to play a hockey match in the grounds of Japla RC School of Tutikel Panchayat of Kolibira. Then it started raining and there was lightning. The players were standing in the field and the match was about to start. The rest of the people moved here and there to escape the rain.
Lightning struck the field during the match
Meanwhile, along with the rain, lightning fell on the hockey field. Three budding hockey players died due to this. Five people were injured there. Immediately all the people were admitted to the nearest hospital. There is a wave of mourning among the people due to the death of three hockey players simultaneously.
Many big hockey players have emerged from Simdega.
Simdega of Jharkhand is called the nursery of hockey. Many national players have emerged from here. These include many big hockey players like Sylvanus Dungdung, Olympian Vimal Boy, Samurai Tete, Salima Tete. All are residents of Simdega district of Jharkhand. In such a situation, people are saddened by the death of three young hockey players simultaneously.
