Jharkhand: Indian Union decides on seat-sharing plan, Congress will contest 30 seats

Jharkhand Congress president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh in an interview with TV9 lifted the curtain on the suspense surrounding the Jharkhand Assembly elections. He revealed that the Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will contest on the number of seats. He said the Indian Union will face the elections with complete unity. Along with this, the decision regarding seat sharing was also informed.

Congress president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh said the seat distribution plan has been decided in the Indian Union. Congress is contesting in 30 seats in Jharkhand. Candidates from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will occupy 40 seats. Apart from this, RJD and Left parties will contest the remaining 11 seats. The Indian Union will be completely united to fight the elections. In addition, he also said that the list of remaining candidates for Congress will also be announced soon.

Late on Monday night, the Congress released the first list of 21 of the 30 candidates for the Jharkhand assembly elections, while the lists for the remaining nine seats are yet to be released. Chief Minister Hemant Soren recently announced that the Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will contest 70 seats, while the RJD and Left parties will contest 11 seats , and now the Congress president himself has expressed the same view.

When will the election and results be announced?

Voting will be held in two phases in Jharkhand on November 13 and November 20 and the results will be announced on November 20. Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar said that a total of 21 candidates submitted their nomination papers for the first phase on Monday and the last date was October 25, while candidates can withdraw themselves till October 30 name. All parties have begun preparations for the elections.
