JDU party spokesperson in Bihar KC Tyagi lauded Bihar’s “special financial support” through the allocation of over Rs 26,000 crore for expressways and a budget of Rs 11,500 crore for flood mitigation steps.

He said that apart from a new airport and medical college in the state, two new bridges on river Ganga have been announced. Tyagi said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also announced steps for the development of Nalanda University and development of tourist destinations including the Nalanda-Rajgir corridor.

Tyagi said, Gaya will be the headquarters of Kolkata-Amritsar corridor. He said that three new expressways have also been given to Bihar which will take the state towards development. He said that in the budget, emphasis has also been laid on accelerating the efforts of the Bihar government to develop sports infrastructure in the state and to get loans from financial institutions.
