Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar
There is still a year left for the Bihar assembly elections, but political parties are gearing up for it. Janata Dal United (JDU) has decided to field its key leaders. As per the instructions of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, workers’ meetings will be organized in all districts of Bihar to create new energy among workers. A committee has been constituted under the leadership of JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha for this purpose. Under this provision, these JDU ministers, MPs and MLAs will be sent to caste-dominated areas where they have control.
Additionally, areas where the JDU received few votes or where the party’s candidates failed in the last Lok Sabha elections were also identified. In this context, Umesh Singh Kushwaha announced a meeting of JDU district level workers.
What’s the purpose?
The conference will start on November 24th and last until December 22nd. Five teams have been constituted for this purpose, comprising Executive President Sanjay Kumar Jha, Minister for Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Kumar Chaudhry, President Umesh Singh Kushwa Harbin, Rural Development Minister Sravan Kumar and Union Minister of State. Agriculture Ramnath Thakur. Each group consists of nine party leaders. Giving details about the meetings, Umesh Singh Kushwaha said the meetings will be held every Saturday and Sunday from November 24 to December 22 in different districts. The wrap-up meeting will be held on December 22 in Patna.
He further said that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA was leading with 173 seats out of 243 in Bihar, while the grand alliance secured only 63 seats. The JDU must achieve greater success in the 2025 parliamentary elections and they are working towards a target of 225 seats.
Eyes fell on Purnia’s seat
Umesh Singh Kushwaha said the clear message from Nitish Kumar is that we must continue to do work in public interest and the public itself will take action against those spreading Chaos responds. JDU won 12 out of 16 seats in the last Lok Sabha elections. However, the JDU lost the Purnia seat, from which Santosh Kushwaha was the MP. Santosh is from the Kushwaha caste and Nitish Kumar does not want to abandon the Koli-Kulmi vote bank as these votes were lost to the JDU in the last Lok Sabha elections. On the other hand, the RJD also appointed Abhay Singh Kushwaha as Kushwaha Community Congress Party leader.
Let us tell you that JDU’s only MLA in Purnia is Lacey Singh and JDU is hoping to get at least three seats this time. That is why workers’ meetings were organized in Purnia and other districts of Bihar. Among others, information about the development work done by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar will be provided to workers so that they can convey this message to the public and narrate the achievements of the government.
