The biggest discussion in world cricket at the moment is about the International Cricket Champions Trophy, whether it will be hosted on Pakistan soil or by another country. At the same time, on November 15, the evil behavior of the Pakistan Cricket Board PCB aroused the anger of all Indian fans, including the BCCI. In fact, PCB announced that it would tour the country with the Champions Trophy, including a tour to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, or POK, but BCCI lodged strong objections to the ICC, and later PCB was allowed to cancel it. Meanwhile, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has addressed the ICC officials to condemn the move by the PCB and take action against them.
Jay Shah demands strict action from ICC
Regarding the Pakistan Cricket Board’s action, a BCCI official said in a confidential statement submitted to PTI that BCCI secretary Jay Shah called the ICC to request the PCB to conduct a trophy tour in several cities in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. criticized the move. He urged the International Criminal Court to take strict action. As far as Islamabad is concerned, there is no problem. But the trophy tour cannot take place in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Let us tell you that the trophy tour is part of the ICC promotional campaign, which includes visits to several cities where discussions have taken place between the international body and the host country.
PCB announces trophy tour plans without discussion
The PCB has not had any discussions with anyone about the tour plans for the ICC Champions Trophy and announced on its official social media on the evening of November 14 that the trophy will be taken to the disputed regional areas of Skardu, Murree and Hunza. PCB tweeted, “Pakistan, get ready! The 2025 International Cricket Champions Trophy tour will begin in Islamabad on November 16 and will also visit Skardu, Murree, Hunza and Muzaffaraba Germany and other tourist destinations. In a statement provided to PTI by the ICC board on this step of the PCB, they said that discussions on the trophy tour are still ongoing. But if not, the PCB has informed everyone about the situation. If so, that’s definitely not right. I don’t think the ICC will allow the PCB to take the trophy to any disputed area.
