Indian soldiers have foiled another infiltration attempt on the Line of Control in Naushera sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The soldiers have killed two infiltrating terrorists. According to the information, intelligence agencies and Jammu and Kashmir Police had received input about infiltration, after which there was an alert on the LoC.

A large number of weapons have been recovered from the terrorists. So far two AK-47 rifles and a pistol have been recovered. Search operation is going on in the area.

Earlier on August 30, the Indian Army soldiers had foiled a major terrorist conspiracy before the elections. During this, the security forces carried out a special operation and killed 3 terrorists who were trying to infiltrate.

The Election Commission has announced the election dates for voting on 90 assembly seats of the state. The people of Jammu and Kashmir will vote on 18 September, 25 September and 1 October to elect their government for five years. Assembly elections will be held in 3 phases in the Union Territory which is sensitive from the security point of view. The results of the assembly elections will come on 4 October. Voting is to be held on 24 seats in the first phase, 26 seats in the second phase and 40 seats in the third phase.
