Voting in the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections has gained momentum with an impressive 41.17 per cent voter turnout recorded in all polling stations across 24 assembly constituencies in seven districts of Jammu and Kashmir till 1 pm, informed the Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir.
Polling began at 7am amid tight security.
