Jammu and Kashmir encounter: Three terrorists killed by security forces in Baramulla, two soldiers martyred in Kishtwar

According to sources, a clash is taking place between terrorists and security forces in the Chak Tappar Kreri Pattan area of Baramulla. Security forces killed three terrorists in an encounter. On the other hand, a clash is also taking place between security forces and terrorists in Kishtwar.

Earlier on Friday, two Army soldiers were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Chhatru area, 45 km from Kishtwar. Two other seriously injured soldiers were airlifted to the Command Hospital in Udhampur. Dr Ashraf Giri, superintendent of Chhatru Hospital, confirmed the sacrifice of the two soldiers and said the bodies have been sent to the concerned military unit.

Based on information about the presence of terrorists in the Pingnal Duggada forest area in the upper area of Naid village in Chatru district, the security forces launched Operation Shahpurshal. As the cordon became tighter, the lurking terrorists started firing indiscriminately. Four soldiers were injured in the sudden firing. The injured have been evacuated and sent to the hospital. When the gunfire started, the Army soldiers also rushed forward and gave due response to the terrorists.

On the other hand, an alert was sounded in Kishtwar and Doda districts after the clash began. Vehicles are being checked by setting up additional checkpoints. Security forces are also conducting surprise checks at various places. Troops have been sent to the encounter sites.

Sources said that some terrorists have been planning to create a major incident in Kishtwar for a long time. Some time ago, terrorists were also seen in Navnatu area of Paddhana and there were gunshots from both sides. So far, the terrorists have managed to escape.

Two days ago, two Pakistani terrorists were killed in Basantgarh.

Earlier on Wednesday, two Pakistani terrorists were killed by security forces in Basantgarh, Udhampur. A huge amount of ammunition was recovered from the slain terrorists.
