The student demonstration in Bangladesh first took a violent form and the matter reached the level of a coup. Then the situation became so bad that Sheikh Hasina had to resign from the post of Prime Minister and escape from Bangladesh. Currently Sheikh Hasina is in India and it is being told that from here Sheikh Hasina can take refuge in London or Finland.

After Sheikh Hasina’s resignation, the biggest question is that in whose hands will be the command of Bangladesh. Will there be elections there or will the army do everything under its control? In such a situation, let us know who are the contenders for governance in Bangladesh and who can take over the power of Bangladesh…

Who are the contenders…

Till now, there is no clear picture regarding the formation of government or taking over the power in Bangladesh, but many claimants are believed to take over the power. From the press conference of the Army Chief held after Sheikh Hasina’s resignation, it was being speculated that now Army rule may be imposed and the Army Chief may take command of the country in his hands.

But, in a rapid turn of events, Bangladesh President Mohammad Shahabuddin also ordered the release of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, who was under house arrest. After the news of Khaleda Zia’s release, there is talk that Khaleda can also become the PM of the country. Apart from this, Jamaat-e-Islami is also being considered an important contender. So do you know whose claim is stronger?

Dr. Mohammad Yunus can be advisor to the government

According to the report of Daily Star, an update regarding government formation is that the main organizers of the student movement have proposed Nobel laureate Dr. Mohammad Yunus as the chief advisor of the interim government. In a video posted on social media, Naheed Islam, one of the main coordinators of the movement, said that he had already spoken to Professor Yunus and he had given his consent.

There is a lot of discussion about army rule.

Immediately after Sheikh Hasina’s resignation on Monday, Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman held a press conference and said that the government is preparing to form an interim government soon. He said, ‘After the resignation of PM Sheikh Hasina, we will now rule. Will run the country by forming an interim government. Our country is suffering losses. Property is being damaged. Give me responsibility, I will handle everything.

The Army Chief said that he has met political leaders and told them that the Army will take over the responsibility of law and order. However, there was no leader from Hasina’s Awami League party in the meeting. After the Army’s claim, it is believed that the Army is working on forming the government and if this happens then the command of the country may come into the hands of General Waqar-uz-Zaman.

Khaleda Zia also has a strong upper hand

After the order for Khaleda Zia’s release, there is speculation that Khaleda Zia’s name may be included in the interim government. Along with this, it is being said in some reports that Khaleda Zia’s son and acting chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Tariq Rahman can also be put forward.

Khaleda Zia is the president of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). In Bangladesh, it is the main opposition party of Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League. Khaleda is inclined towards Jamaat-e-Islami. In such a situation, Khaleda Zia may also get the support of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Khaleda Zia was the Prime Minister of Bangladesh from March 1991 to 1996 and then from June 2001 to October 2006. However, he was sent to jail after corruption charges. There are many fundamentalist leaders in Khaleda Zia’s party and if the country moves towards fundamentalism again, then Khaleda Zia may take command again.

Will Jamaat-e-Islami get command?

Along with Khaleda Zia and the army, Jamaat-e-Islami is also being considered as a contender for the government. Actually, there are reports regarding Jamaat-e-Islami that preparations for a coup were being made in Bangladesh for a long time and Jamaat-e-Islami was already quite active. At the same time, the army is also being said to be with Jamaat-e-Islami.

If Jamaat-e-Islami gets the full support of the army, then Jamaat-e-Islami can play an important role. This can also be gauged from the fact that when the meeting was held with the President, leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami were also present there.

In such a situation, it is believed that if any decision is taken on the interim government, Jamaat-e-Islami can also be given an important role. Apart from this, it is also possible that Bangladesh may have an interim government, in which Jamaat-e-Islami and Khaleda Zia’s party Bangladesh Nationalist Party will get important responsibilities. But it has to be seen what role the army plays in the interim government, only after which the picture will be clear.
