In Jaipur, Rajasthan, two young men hypnotized a girl and robbed her of her jewelery on the pretext of collecting donations from a Gurudwara. The entire incident was recorded on CCTV cameras installed in the apartment. After the girl regained consciousness, she told her family what had happened. Thereafter, the victim’s father lodged an FIR at the Mahesh Nagar police station.
The victim’s father, Srivatsan, told reporters that he and his family lived in the Samardi Apartments in Suez Farms. At 12 noon on Thursday, two Saddar men rang the doorbell of his apartment. Then, my daughter, who was home alone, opened the door. Then both the Sardars said that they had come to ask for donations from the Gurudwara and the girl came into the room and gave the Sardar 50 rupees.

The gangsters entered the house on the pretext of leaving the glass inside.
Sardar has since said that his father and grandfather were unwell. Then the daughter said yes, they both were not feeling well. Later, the gangster asked the daughter for a drink of water, and the daughter went into the house and brought out a glass of water. Later, the gangster left the water cup in the house on the pretext of drinking water. During this time, the gangster told the girl that she had a gold chain, and the girl said that the gold chain was there but in a safe.

After 30 minutes, the girl informed her neighbors about the incident.
Later, the gangster asked the girl for a chain, and the girl brought it. Later, the gangster said there was another ring, and the girl took the ring out of the safe. The gangster then asked the girl to sit on a chair, closed the apartment door from the outside and left. After the girl regained consciousness about 30 minutes later, the daughter told the neighbor about the incident. Later, based on the girl’s information, the girl’s father also rushed to the scene.
This is what the police said in the case
Mukesh, sub-inspector of Mahesh Nagar police station, said the victim’s father had lodged a complaint alleging that two youths lured a girl and snatched away her gold chain and rings. Investigation revealed that the two young men came to collect donations for the pilgrimage and after talking to the girl, they snatched the jewelry and ran away. Since then, the police are looking for the unknown culprits based on CCTV footage.
